I love winter. It's not about the cold or the snow (even though snow has been very little so far). It is because I get to plan my calendar for this summer's events.
I am already in the planning and practicing stages of my new show for the Summer Reading Program (SRP) called "Dream Big, Read." It is going to be an exciting and fun time and I am looking at adding balloon twisting as part of the show.

Magic For Seniors - Very Entertaining
Wow, what a fun December I am having. Today I am performing my last Christmas Magic Show for 2011.
I have performed for kids under 9 years old and for adults over 90. My favorite this year has been entertaining the retirement community. I've been at both large and small facilities and it has been fun to see the people's reactions to a magic trick or their face light up when they receive a balloon creation.
I definitely plan on contacting senior living facilities for next years holiday and Christmas events.

Just because it is the holidays doesn't mean your kids need to stop reading. I have an excellent recommendation for you. The author is Robert Munsch. Actually, before Mr Munsch was an author he was (and is) a storyteller.
See if your library has any of his books. Your kids will love him. OR, you can go to his web site and listen to him tell one of his stories. He even allows you to download them to your computer.

Spiderman and Eleanor Made My Day
I had a great magic show last night. What made it great? A responsive, exciting audience. I performed a family friendly show at a local assisted living home. The room was filled
with close to 60 great grandparents, grandparents, parents and children. Two of them stuck out in my head.

Zoomalata Magic Gives Back

Zoomalata Magic of Appleton, Wisconsin has picked a charity that it will give officially support on a regular basis. Zoomalata Magic, a family entertainment company will give a portion of each paid show to Cerebral Palsy Center in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
Owner and professional magician, Steven Dickinson, also known as Mr D the Magician, says, "We've been looking for a place we could give back and support. It took a year to find the right group and we have found that the C.P. Center is the one we want to support."
Zoomalata Magic has already donated a couple performances to the Cerebral Palsy Center in Green Bay, including a magic show during the 3rd Annual Walk & Booyah that was held on October 1, 2011.

Don't Be Scared But Christmas Is Coming To You Soon
I know, I know Halloween hasn't even passed but if you are in charge of this years Christmas Holiday Party There are some things you might want to know.
- Have you seen the calendar for December. This year (2011) Christmas falls on a Saturday. This means New Years Day does as well. So there are two weekends you most likely will not want to schedule your holiday party.
- So you now only have three weekends to choose from in the month of December to have your party. With only three months away now is the time to begin booking your entertainment, food and place for the party.
You may find it tough even now getting exactly what you want if someone beat you to the punch for your favorite entertainment, band, D.J., Caterer, etc. - GREAT IDEA ALERT!
Have you considered having your holiday party in January when your options might be better than your options in December? If you have the party in January you might be able to get all the people and places you are looking for.
In closing, if you are looking for a magician my calendar is filling up fast for December. I have both Adult only and Kid shows booked. I would love to perform at your holiday event for this year.
Whether for adults, kids or both every performance is good clean fun. I can perform a regular sit down magic show or walk around and perform up close magic for a few people at a time.
